We believe this is Margie Hart. Margie was famous in her day for pushing the boundaries of burlesque. Her act featured flashes of full nudity, very rare for those days. And, if seen by John Law could result in a visit to the local jailhouse. We don’t know if Margie ever got busted…but her act was apparently legendary. She is one of the few (can’t think of anyone else right now!) that crossed over to Hollywood. We have a half sheet poster in our collection from a movie she made called “Lure of the Islands” for the poverty row studio, Monogram pictures. We’ll get around to posting it one of these days!
